At Haltia’s you may enjoy Finland’s most spectacular nature destinations and all 5 seasons. Haltia introduces stunning scenery of Finland's 40 national parks and surprisingly green Helsinki Metropolitan Area. Also you may listen to real nature sounds: sleeping bear, sounds beneath the water, wolverine, storm -just to mention few from the "Mother Nature's Call" voice installation.
The main exhibition follows the annual cycle of the nature, utilising not only the panorama landscape but also video presentations, dioramas, interactive features, works of art and scale models, among other features. The main exhibition offers a comprehensive nature experience. It leads you from the Finnish Archipelago to the tops of the fells in Lapland – to all of Finland’s 40 national parks. You will experience the beauty and magic of the five seasons in all their glory and get a taste of nature’s power of creation with a touch of mythology from the Kalevala.
The Snowy Canyon at the entrance leads you to the main exhibition hall and welcomes you to examine the Finnish winter and how animals and plants survive through the winter. In the main exhibition you may enjoy fascinating Finnish landscapes as well as get yourself familiar with the underwater. The exhibition includes a large wooden Goldeneye Egg, which sets a foundation for Game Theory video installation by artist Osmo Rauhala. At Haltia, you will also find Bear's nest (Karhunpesä).

What more to see?
You will also find a open wilderness hut, where you can sit down by the stove and read the fascinating stories in the guestbooks, the oldest of which are a hundred years old, and peek out of the window into the fell landscape.
Among other experiences, you will have the opportunity to climb up and make contact with starry skies in the Pohjannaula tower.
