Erkko Badermann: Photographic Exhibition of Raptors and Primitive birds

Haltia’s light galleria 31.10.2023-21.1.2024

Welcome to the nature photography exhibition, at Haltia – The Finnish Nature Centre, by the internationally awarded wildlife photographer Erkko Badermann. The exhibition consists of 32 high-quality acrylic works of Red-throated loons, Black-throated loons and Golden Eagles.

The remarkable thing about many of Erkko’s works is that they somehow touch emotions, but at the same time are visually and technically brilliant. The power of the works is based on the fact that they enable people to identify with the everyday activities of birds. Erkko’s photographs show the passionate and fast-paced mating dance of the Red-throated loons and you can see the tender care of the Black-throated loons’ chicks. Water splashes high and creates sculptural statues, as the Red-throated loons prepare for the coming summer. In the Golden Eagle works, the atmosphere is created by the water rain when the drops are drawn in the air and in the Eagle’s feathers. In winter, the eagle plumage gets an elegant gray frost.

The exhibition is at Haltia – The Finnish Nature Centre’s light galleria 31.10.2023-21.1.2024.
